The wine -growing tradition of the family goes far back.Anton Slejko first cultivated this land and in 1926 handed over the farm to his then 13-year-old son Venceslav. Grandpa Venceslav was quite successful in wine production, so in 1970 his son Anton decided that it was time to upgrade the vineyards. He planted indigenous varieties, updated the cellar and started filling and selling under his own label. In 1989 he founded the first private cooperative in the then Yugoslavia and in 1990 the "de Adami" was first used. These days, the tradition continues with Anton's son Borut, the fourth generation of the Slejko family. He has expanded his estate, which now covers 8 hectares (19.8 hectares), and is proud to follow the paths of his ancestors with a well -thought -out plan, from vineyard to bottle, and a clear vision to seek higher and pursue a goal of producing the best quality winewith exceptional respect for the earth. Today, the wines of de Adami are known not only in Slovenia but also on an international scale and have received numerous awards in local and international competitions.
